You know those people who are just made to be in front of the camera? Well, I'm obviously not one of those people, that's why I'm behind the camera. But I know two little ladies who were born to be in front of the camera - Reid and Tierney. Luckily I got a chance to photograph them recently, along with their Aunt and Uncle. Apparently when Brittany and Chris (their Aunt and Uncle) were married, there weren't many photos that included the girls. So we attempted to re-create the atmosphere. And I'll tell ya, these girls made my job easier.

Senior Photos - Adam
This past weekend I had the pleasure of doing senior photos for Adam, a senior at Lafayette High School. His mother was worried that Adam would not be too enthused about doing the photos. Au contraire - he was game for whatever I wanted to do! So we had a lot of fun with it. We set out on the town and hit a few locations downtown, and ended up at the University of Kentucky. I wanted to incorporate UK a little since Adam takes classes a few days a week. I had a blast working with Adam - he has a bright future ahead of him.

Kim Wilkie for District Judge - Part 2
I was lucky enough to be contacted by Kim’s campaign for a follow-up shoot. This time the photo was to be used in a full page ad in the paper (Lexington Herald-Leader). The tricky part was he wanted a full body shot on a white background.
I've done headshots on white backgrounds and I've done full body shots. I've just never combined the two. So I borrowed some lights from my friend Julie and went at it. I think the photo turned out pretty good.
Kim won his bid for District Judge. Some may say it was because of his qualifications, but I believe it was the photos. :)

Kim Wilkie for District Judge
I had the opportunity to photograph Kim’s opponent in the May Primary. After Kim won the primary I was lucky enough to be called upon to be called upon to get some shots together for the upcoming race. If you’re going to be around Lexington starting September 15, watch for his photos on the city buses.

Joseph Rugg for District Judge
A friend is running for District Judge and selected me to do photos for his campaign. Wow! How cool is that?! He came over early one afternoon and we knocked it out pretty quickly. He has used at least one of the photos on flyers and other campaign materials. Now, if that wasn't the enough, one of my photos is now on the back of a city bus!! Man, lots and lots of folks are going to see my work throughout the city. Now I've got to see one of the buses so I can take a shot of the back.
In the meantime, here is one of the photos from our shoot.

Moneywatch Advisors photoshoot
Today I did a head-shot for Moneywatch Advisors. They are putting together an advertisement to be sent out to clients and/or prospective clients. They had the material for the body of the ad, just not a photo to go along with it. So they called me. How cool is it that I will have a photo included in an ad that will be seen by who knows how many clients and prospective clients of Moneywatch Advisors.
