New Headshots

I'm not saying I'm perfect at seamless white backgrounds, but I think I do a pretty fine job. That's good too because I was called upon to create some headshots for a local attorney. Chris needed photos for various advertisements and phone book yellow pages. Having done this before made this pretty easy. I had everything setup and all lights calibrated. All Chris had to do was show up and take a seat. I snapped a few different shots and we were done. Chris was happy with the shots, and in the end that's what matters most.

Picking back up

Things on the photography front slowed just a bit, but for good reason - we had a baby on New Year's Eve! So I've been busy helping with him as much as I can. Although he's still very young, we've settled into a groove. The upside? I have been able to get back into photography.

My first session was with little Mac and his cousins. I was warned ahead of time that getting them to all cooperate together may be a challenge. I tried to prepare as best I could, readying myself to wrangle two children who might resistant to sitting together. However, much to our surprise, the one who wasn't ready for his picture to be taken was Mac! In the past he had always been a ham in front of the camera. But this just wasn't his day. We still managed to get some great shots. I had fun, even if Mac didn't.
